Jack Shaw – host and producer
Jack has been podcasting for nearly five years and been in love with podcasts as a whole since Ricky Gervais introduced Karl Pilkington to the world about 15 years ago. He currently hosts and produces Wrong Term Memory, as well as founding Quite The Thing Media – creating podcasts that speak to you.
Jack was born in Glasgow in 1985 and has never moved out of the city. Brought up in Govan, he has supported Rangers Football Club for as long as he can remember, and was obsessed with football as a whole growing up – although never very good at it, he played in goals a lot.
School was just school for Jack – he was a normal kid, with normal friends and had a great time as a teenager. He liked The Spice Girls (listen to our 1996 pop culture podcast for more), happy hardcore tunes, nu-metal, trance and techno before music started to play less of a part in his life as he approached the end of his 20s – read Jack’s (almost) full musical history.
He does like serial killers and did play lawn bowls as a youngster (from the age of 10) and into his early-30s, before getting involved in podcasting for Heart and Hand – The Rangers Podcast with his first ever show – Rangers Bet Remembers. That first show was 8 minutes long, was about Russell Latapy, and had a betting angle. Jack has since given up the old betting!
Jack has either hosted, produced, or been a part of over 600 podcast episodes across all platforms over the years and you can find him on socials, or drop him an email, below:
